The 7 leagues
Each league sets the length of the regular season, how strong the room is, how long the playoffs run and how much of your pay you keep.
| League | Games | Level | Playoffs | Pay kept |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| US high school | 28 | 48 | None | No salary |
| European minor league | 32 | 67 | 3 rounds to win | 62% |
| NCAA | 34 | 69 | 4 rounds to win | No salary |
| G League | 50 | 73 | 3 rounds to win | 78% |
| EuroLeague | 34 | 84 | 3 rounds to win | 62% |
| China | 46 | 72 | 3 rounds to win | 74% |
| NBA | 82 | 94 | 4 rounds to win | 51% |
Level measures the league from 48 to 94. The higher it is, the harder minutes, a role and a big contract are to earn there, and the longer a newcomer takes to settle in. Pay kept is what tax, agent and fees leave of a salary and of endorsements.

Where does each nationality start?
Your passport decides where you are at 16: in a US high school (United States, Canada, and Australia) or in a European minor league (France, Germany, and Serbia). It also sets how visible you are to NBA scouts and the part of the game your national school sharpens.
| Nationality | Starts in | Scout visibility | Stat lean |
|---|---|---|---|
| France | Starts in a European minor league | +3 | STL+BLK |
| United States | Starts in a US high school | +8 | PTS |
| Canada | Starts in a US high school | +5 | AST |
| Germany | Starts in a European minor league | +2 | 3PT |
| Serbia | Starts in a European minor league | +1 | REB |
| Australia | Starts in a US high school | +3 | STL+BLK |
Visibility adds straight to your draft stock and to the total the NBA door reads. The stat lean raises your build's weight on the matching column by 15%, which ends up as about 29% more of that stat (for shooting, more threes and a better percentage). A European start comes with a two-year prospect contract at a European club.
How do you move between leagues?
Most moves happen when a contract ends and you sign somewhere new. A few happen on their own:
- US high school
- At 17, a high school player picks the next step: a college program, the G League or a contract in Europe.
- NCAA
- College lasts up to 4 seasons. After the last one, or at 23, you leave: for the G League if talent plus reputation reach 125, for a European club otherwise. The draft can take you out sooner, and waiting a year at the draft declaration keeps you in college one more season.
- European minor league
- Each summer without a contract holding you, a player whose talent plus reputation reach 150 has 40 chances in 100 of moving up to the EuroLeague. Waiting a year at the draft declaration skips that summer's roll.
- NBA
- Nobody plays in the NBA before 19: a younger player headed there lands in the G League instead.
While a contract runs, you stay put unless you declare for the draft, are traded (NBA only), bought out or waived after a D or F season, or an NBA team buys you out of a EuroLeague or G League deal after an A or A+ season, at 30 or younger.
From 24, a pro playing outside China can also get a big one-season offer from a Chinese club, and can take it in the last year of a deal or with no deal.
How do you reach the NBA?
Every club reads you through a billing: the role the NBA would offer you, from prospect to star. It rises with talent first, then reputation and last season's production, and it drops past 32 and for a player who has never played in the NBA.
No NBA team can sign you before your draft night is over, drafted or not. After it, the NBA calls when one of these is true:
- The NBA would bill you as a starter or a star.
- It would bill you as a rotation player, you play in the EuroLeague, China or the G League, and your last season was graded A or A+.
- You play in the EuroLeague, and your talent, reputation and scouting visibility add up to 150.
- You are 22 or older, went undrafted, and your talent, reputation and scouting visibility add up to 158.
Once in the NBA, the calls keep coming while you are billed as a starter or a star, while you are 23 or younger, or while you are billed as a rotation player aged 30 or younger whose last season was graded above D.
When a contract ends, these leagues can call:
| League | When it calls |
|---|---|
| NBA | When one of the rules above is true. |
| EuroLeague | When the NBA bills you as a rotation player or less, and you play in the NBA, or your European standing reaches 132 (talent plus reputation, plus 20 for players from France, Germany, and Serbia), or you ran another league as a starter with an A or A+ season. |
| China | Always, when the NBA bills you as a rotation player or less. |
| European minor league | When the NBA bills you as a rotation player or less and no NBA door is open. |
| G League | Same as Europe, and only up to age 25. |
| Your current league | Keeps offering a deal, unless you play in the G League or the NBA would bill you as a starter or a star. In the NBA, the rules above decide. |

National team and summer events
A summer holds one event at most. Every four seasons comes a World Cup summer, followed by an Olympic summer, and your career seed sets which years. A national team call always comes before a Summer League invite.
Your federation only calls a player who is 18 or older, healthy (health 35 or more) and playing in the NBA or the EuroLeague. Before 22, only a top-10 draft pick gets the call. Team USA only takes NBA players with an All-Star selection, an All-League team, an MVP, an All-Star Game MVP or a Finals MVP on their record, from any league.
The role comes from a selection score: talent, plus 0.3 per point of reputation, plus 10 in the NBA or 4 in the EuroLeague. Each role has a bar, raised by the depth of your country's player pool, and at a World Cup every bar is 5 lower.
| Role | Selection score |
|---|---|
| Team leader | 104 plus depth |
| Starter | 96 plus depth |
| Rotation | 90 plus depth |
| Twelfth man | 84 plus depth |
| Nationality | Depth | Olympics | World Cup |
|---|---|---|---|
| France | +12 | 7% / 34% | 9% / 30% |
| United States | +26 | 90% / 97% | 70% / 85% |
| Canada | +11 | 5% / 24% | 8% / 28% |
| Germany | +5 | 5% / 26% | 11% / 32% |
| Serbia | +7 | 6% / 30% | 11% / 34% |
| Australia | +10 | 4% / 22% | 7% / 26% |
These are the odds before your own role: a big role and talent above 78 lift the chances of any team other than Team USA. Accepting a call carries a 7% injury risk, and an injured player leaves without a medal. You can also decline the call.
Summer League is for players 24 or younger: G League players, and NBA players with 2 NBA seasons or fewer behind them on a prospect or rotation deal.

Common questions
How many leagues are in Bball Destiny?
7: US high school, European minor league, NCAA, G League, EuroLeague, China, and NBA. High school has no playoffs, the NBA and the NCAA take four playoff rounds to win, and the other leagues take three.
Where does my player start?
It depends on nationality. Players from these countries start in a US high school at 16: United States, Canada, and Australia. Players from these start in a European minor league, on a two-year prospect contract: France, Germany, and Serbia.
Can you reach the NBA without being drafted?
Yes. After draft night, the NBA calls a player it would bill as a starter, a rotation-level player coming off an A or A+ season in the EuroLeague, China or the G League, a EuroLeague player whose talent, reputation and visibility reach 150, and an undrafted player aged 22 or older who reaches 158.
How do you get to the EuroLeague?
From a European minor league, every summer without a contract gives 40 chances in 100 once talent plus reputation reach 150. In free agency, as long as the NBA bills you as rotation or less, the EuroLeague calls NBA players, players whose European standing reaches 132, and anyone who ran another league as a starter with an A or A+ season. Declaring for the draft also lets you choose the EuroLeague first.
How do you make the national team?
Be 18 or older, healthy and playing in the NBA or the EuroLeague. Before 22, only a top-10 draft pick is called. Your selection score then has to clear your country's bar, and Team USA only calls NBA players with an All-Star-level award.
